Hangzhou Xinabo Intelligent Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd is a Threading Dies manufacturer in China, producing precision cutting dies for the pipe threading machines we build and for the installed base of electric pipe threaders already working on site. Our dies sit inside a wider Engineering Construction Pipeline Connection Solutions range that covers pipe cutting, thread processing and pipe tightening, so a die set is specified together with the machine, the pipe material and the thread standard it will run.
Die sets are matched to the machine platform before shipment: double-edged dies for intelligent threading machines, high-speed steel dies for electric pipe threading machines.
What We Manufacture in This Range
As a Engineering Construction Pipeline Connection Solutions manufacturer, we match product configuration to the application, operating limits, interfaces and acceptance criteria defined for each project.
Threading die production at Xinabo covers two families and a defined set of thread forms. Both families are machined from selected cutting material, ground to final geometry and supplied as four-piece sets for workshop, site and production-line use.
- Thread forms: BSPT, NPT, Metric, plus customized non-standard profiles
- Pipe materials: carbon steel, galvanized, stainless steel, aluminum and copper pipe
- Set sizes: 1/2"–3/4", 1"–2" and 2.5"–4" combinations
- Machine fit: intelligent threading machines and electric pipe threading machines
- Applications: fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, MEP, municipal and industrial piping
Our Threading Die Range
The range is organised by machine platform rather than by size alone, because spindle fit, feed rate and cutting load decide how a die behaves in service. Both families are part of our Precision Threading Dies & Accessories programme.
Double-Edged Threading Dies
Double-edged dies are built for our intelligent threading machines and for automatic and semi-automatic threading workflows. The high-precision machined structure matches the operational parameters of the equipment, so mainstream models run without additional adjustment.
- Dual-edge cutting structure spreads cutting force evenly and reduces wear on a single edge
- Holds thread accuracy through continuous high-frequency production use
- Covers BSPT, NPT and Metric threads in one die family
- Supplied as a compact four-piece set for workshop, site and machining-centre storage
High Speed Steel Threading Dies
High-speed steel dies are designed for electric pipe threading machines and are precision-machined to the spindle and feeding structure of that platform. They suit regular industrial threading on common metal workpieces in workshops and on construction sites.
- HSS core material for hardness, wear resistance and heat resistance under continuous cutting
- Four practical size combinations: 1/2"–3/4", 1"–2", 2.5"–4"
- BSPT and NPT tapered threads with clear tooth profiles and good interchangeability
- Reasonable chip removal grooves reduce cutting resistance and tooth blockage at high rotation speed

Thread Standards and Pipe Material Fit
Thread form is the first decision after machine platform, because taper, flank angle and gauge practice differ between standards and cannot be substituted on site.

Pipe material changes cutting behaviour more than size alone suggests. Carbon steel and galvanized pipe cut with predictable chip formation, stainless steel work-hardens and needs steady feed with adequate lubrication, and aluminum or copper require lighter cutting pressure to avoid tearing the thread flank. We confirm the material mix before a die set is recommended.
Die Geometry, Cutting Behaviour and Thread Quality
Cutting material and fine grinding technology together determine whether a thread seals and whether the die survives repeated cycles. Our dies are ground so the thread surface forms smoothly without burrs and holds dimensional accuracy across the set.
- Even cutting-force distribution on double-edged geometry to extend service life
- Chip removal grooves sized for smooth discharge during high-speed rotation
- Consistent tooth profile for tight, reliable fitting connection and interchangeability
- Accuracy maintained through repeated use rather than only on the first cut
Machine Matching and Line Integration
A die is only as good as the machine interface behind it. Our double-edged dies are machined to the operational parameters of the Intelligent Threading Machine, which identifies pipe diameter automatically, adjusts the tool setting and covers DN15–DN100. Threading time runs as fast as 4 seconds for 15–25 mm pipe, and the platform processes 1,500–2,000 threads in an eight-hour shift.
For the Electric Pipe Threading Machine platform, HSS dies are machined to the spindle and feeding structure so assembly is direct, without adapters or re-machining. Where dies are used on other machine makes, we work from the machine model, spindle interface and thread size range to establish fit before production.
Quality Control and Acceptance
Die sets pass through material verification, machining and grinding control, dimensional inspection and thread gauge checks before packing. Where a project requires it, we cut sample threads on the specified pipe material so the customer can confirm profile, fit and finish against the joint design.
- Incoming cutting-material verification against the specified grade
- In-process control of tooth profile, flank angle and set dimensional accuracy
- Thread gauge inspection and sample threading on request
- Machinery Directive and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive attestation of conformity documentation for our threading equipment
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
A die set is quoted from the working point, not from a size list alone. These are the inputs our engineering team works from when preparing a configuration and quotation.
- Pipe outside diameter, wall thickness and nominal size range
- Pipe material and surface condition, including galvanized or coated stock
- Thread standard, nominal size and required thread length or taper
- Threading machine make, model and spindle or feed interface
- Production target per shift and expected die change frequency
- Lubrication or cooling method used during threading
- Set quantity, packaging, labelling and delivery schedule
Maintenance, Spare Parts and Serviceability
Threading dies are consumable tooling, and their working life depends on material, cutting speed and lubrication discipline. We support replacement planning with spare die sets and accessories, and our technical team provides operator training and demonstrations on the machine and die combination in use.
- Replace when flank wear, thread gauge drift or rough thread surface appears
- Keep chip grooves clear and store sets in their case to protect cutting edges
- Spare die sets, accessories and maintenance support available across the range
- Training on correct die fitting, setting and thread inspection practice
Frequently Asked Questions
Which dies fit Xinabo intelligent threading machines?
Double-edged threading dies are built for that platform. They are machined to the machine's operational parameters, supplied as four-piece sets and cover BSPT, NPT and Metric threads without additional adjustment on mainstream models.
Can you supply dies for electric pipe threading machines?
Yes. Our high-speed steel dies are precision-machined to the spindle and feeding structure of electric threading equipment and are supplied in 1/2"–3/4", 1"–2" and 2.5"–4" sets for BSPT and NPT tapered threads.
Which thread standards and materials can the dies cut?
We produce BSPT, NPT and Metric profiles plus customized non-standard threads. The dies cut carbon steel, galvanized, stainless steel, aluminum and copper pipe, with the die recommendation adjusted to the material's cutting behaviour.
How are die sets packaged and delivered?
Sets are packed in compact cases that protect the cutting edges and simplify storage and carrying on site. Set quantity, labelling and delivery scope are confirmed against the project schedule when the order is placed.
What information do you need to quote a die configuration?
Send the pipe diameter and wall thickness, pipe material, thread standard and size, the threading machine make and model, and the production target per shift. With those inputs we confirm the die family, set configuration and any customized thread requirement.
