Industry Knowledge

Hangzhou Xinabo Intelligent Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd manufactures the XJ.580 21V Lithium-Ion Brushless Impact Wrench (Mid-Duty) — 850N·m Torque, 3-Speed Adjustable manufacturer as the mid-duty anchor of our cordless wrench family. An upgraded brushless motor drives an alloy impact mechanism to a maximum 850N·m through a 1/2-inch square drive, covering M12–M32 fasteners. We build it for steel structure erection, heavy equipment installation, truck and machinery service, and plant maintenance where a corded tool and an air line are both in the way.

Xinabo has operated from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China since 2010 and holds National High-tech Enterprise status with 30 patents across our pipe threading and cordless tool programmes. Our 10,000 m² factory produces both the pipe fabrication equipment and the 21V cordless platform the XJ.580 belongs to, so the wrench, its battery pack and its accessories are specified as one system rather than assembled from separate sources.

Our portfolio also includes 18V Lithium-Ion Industrial Cable Cutter — Spiral Cutting, up to 50mm Cu/Al Cable Diameter for applications with different operating ranges, interfaces or integration requirements.

Where the XJ.580 Fits on the Job

The tool sits between compact fastening tools and high-torque bolting guns. It carries enough output for structural steel and chassis work while staying light enough for one operator to handle overhead or in a pit.

  • Steel structure construction — steel frame bolt tightening, large equipment installation, bridge maintenance.
  • Auto and fleet maintenance — large truck tire removal, construction machinery repair, chassis bolt tightening.
  • Industrial maintenance — agricultural equipment repair, mining equipment maintenance, large furniture assembly.

Each of these tasks shares the same demand: repeatable rundown on fasteners that have already been painted, galvanised or thread-locked, with no air hose to drag across a deck or a workshop floor.

Specification Set and What Each Figure Controls

Impact rate 0–3,600 bpm Blows per minute; governs how fast a joint seats once impact engagement begins.
No-load speed 0–2,150 rpm Free-run speed for rundown before the hammer mechanism takes over.
Square drive 1/2-inch Standard impact socket interface; impact-rated sockets required.
Bolt range M12–M32 Fastener sizes the tool is specified for; larger sizes need a higher torque class.
Torque settings 3 adjustable gears Output staged to the fastener and joint instead of one fixed power level.
Protection electronics Overload, under-voltage, overheat Triple protection cuts the tool before the motor or pack is damaged.
Work light LED Lights the joint in plant rooms, chassis bays and night shifts.
Standard accessories Battery, fast charger, tool case Kit is issued ready for site or workshop use.

Three-Speed Torque Control

The three adjustable gears are the practical control on this tool. An operator sets the stage to the fastener in hand, so an M12 flange bolt is not driven at the same output as an M30 anchor. That staging is what prevents over-torquing on smaller fasteners and under-tightening on larger ones within the same shift.

  • Low stage for small fasteners, trim, panels and assembly work where thread or substrate damage is the risk.
  • Middle stage for general chassis, bracket and equipment bolting.
  • High stage for structural steel and heavy equipment fasteners at the top of the M12–M32 band.

On safety-critical joints, the tool brings the fastener to the seating stage and a calibrated torque wrench confirms final clamp load. Joint condition, lubrication and thread quality all move the achieved torque, and we say so plainly when a project specifies a torque value.

Motor, Impact Mechanism and Protection Electronics

The upgraded brushless motor removes the carbon brush set, which is the usual service item on a brushed impact wrench. The alloy impact mechanism is built for repeated hammering under load, and the anvil and retaining ring are the parts we check first when a tool comes back for service.

Overload, under-voltage and overheat protection are handled in the electronics. In a plant where the same pack is passed between tools, under-voltage cut-off protects cell life; on long structural runs, thermal cut-off protects the motor. The LED work light is a working feature rather than a convenience, since most chassis and plant-room bolting happens in shadow.

Battery, Charging and Continuous Site Use

The XJ.580 ships with a battery, a fast charger and a tool case. For crews running the wrench across a full shift, our backpack lithium battery pack — 20Ah/30Ah, powers multiple 21V–60V tools extends runtime without a belt-mounted pack. We confirm pack interface and tool pairing against the actual order before shipment.

  • Charge in a dry, ventilated area away from steel dust and grinding sparks.
  • Rotate two packs per tool on high-duty cycles rather than deep-discharging one.
  • Store packs at partial charge for long shutdown periods; avoid leaving them on charge indefinitely.

Our Cordless Wrench Range

Model Max torque Typical fit
XJ.523 350N·m Compact heavy-duty body for smaller fasteners and tight-access work.
XJ.533 550N·m All-purpose cordless fastening across maintenance and light assembly.
XJ.570 750N·m 1/2-inch square drive for higher-demand bolting below the structural band.
XJ.580 850N·m Mid-duty top of the wrench range; M12–M32 structural and equipment bolting.

Crews that also crimp and cut cable on the same site usually pair the wrench with our 18V lithium-ion hydraulic crimping tool — 60–120kN for 10–400mm² Cu/Al terminals, so one charging routine covers the electrical and mechanical scope.

First Use, Acceptance and Maintenance

Before a crew takes delivery, we run the tool through a function check: no-load speed at each gear, forward and reverse, impact engagement, trigger response and charger output. Where a project calls for documented acceptance, we agree the check list and the torque verification method with the customer at order stage.

  • Use impact-rated 1/2-inch sockets only; standard chrome sockets can crack under hammering.
  • Keep the motor vents clear of steel dust and swarf; blow them out at each shift change on structural work.
  • Check the anvil, retaining ring and socket fit weekly on high-cycle tools.
  • Inspect battery contacts and charger pins for bent terminals before charging.

Spare parts, including batteries, chargers and impact mechanism components, are held within our service programme, and our technical team supports installers with tool selection, demonstration and operator training on request.

Information We Use to Configure Your Solution

We prepare a configuration and quotation from the working point, not from a catalogue number alone. The details below let us confirm the model, the kit and the documentation in one pass.

  • Fastener sizes and grades in the bolting schedule, plus the torque values the project specifies.
  • Joint type — structural steel, chassis, machinery mounting — and whether final torque is verified separately.
  • Shift pattern and cycle count per tool per day, to size the number of packs and chargers.
  • Battery platform already in use on site, so packs and chargers are not duplicated.
  • Voltage and plug standard for chargers in the destination country.
  • Packaging, labelling and case marking requirements for distribution or site issue.
  • Documentation needed with the shipment, including conformity attestation where the order requires it.

Documentation, Packaging and Delivery Scope

A standard XJ.580 set contains the wrench, one battery, a fast charger and a moulded tool case. Bulk orders are packed for export with the case protecting the tool through handling, and we confirm carton quantities, labelling and any distributor-specific marking before production.

Our certification library includes Machinery Directive and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive attestation of conformity, alongside our patent and product certificate records. The documents released with a specific order are confirmed during configuration so the paperwork matches the goods shipped.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 850N·m mean for M12–M32 bolting?

850N·m is the maximum torque available at the highest of the three settings. It gives the tool headroom across the M12–M32 band, but achieved clamp load still depends on thread condition, lubrication and joint stiffness. For safety-critical joints we recommend bringing the fastener to seating with the wrench and confirming final torque with a calibrated torque wrench.

Can the XJ.580 run from a backpack battery pack?

Our backpack lithium battery packs are built in 20Ah and 30Ah versions to power multiple 21V–60V tools in our range. We confirm the pack interface and the tool pairing against your order before shipment, so the runtime solution matches the tools actually being issued.

What is included in one set?

The wrench, one 21V battery, a fast charger and a tool case. Sockets are not part of the standard set because the required sizes follow the bolting schedule; we can quote impact-rated 1/2-inch sockets alongside the tool if you list the fastener sizes.

How is the tool maintained in a workshop environment?

The brushless motor removes brush replacement from the service schedule. Routine work is limited to clearing motor vents, checking the anvil and retaining ring, inspecting battery contacts and rotating packs on high-duty cycles. Impact mechanism components and packs are available through our spare parts programme.

Do you supply chargers for different national plug standards?

Yes. Charger voltage and plug standard are set at configuration, so tell us the destination country and whether the tools go to a single site or into distribution stock. Mixed-standard orders are separated at packing to avoid mismatched kits arriving on site.

Can the XJ.580 be supplied alongside your pipe threading equipment?

It can. Xinabo manufactures intelligent threading machines, pipe fabrication equipment and the cordless tool platform, so a pipeline or fire protection project can be equipped from one order with one documentation set. Share the pipe range, thread types and bolting scope and we will build the combined configuration.
